Real name Ethel Beane

Born on November 15, 1892 in Norwich, Norfolk, England

Ethel and Edward Beane were married 3 days before sailing on the Titanic, they had previously been neighbors 

The couple made plans to settle in New York, they boarded as second-class passengers (ticket number 2908 which cost £26) (£3,800,  $4,700 today)

The couple both managed to escape in lifeboat 9, he was one of the few second-class men who survived

Ethel gave birth to a stillborn baby on January 13th, 1913 so it is likely she was pregnant while aboard the Titanic

The two settled in Rochester and had 2 sons 

Edward died in 1948 leaving Ethel a widow 45 years before she died in 1983 at age 93.
