He was born on January 11, 1890, in Nunhead, South London, the youngest of three sons.

After leaving school Bride trained as a Marconi operator, completing training in 1911 and serving on multiple boats before the Titanic
-
He worked alongside John “Jack” George Phillips as a Marconi Company employee, receiving a monthly wage of about £2 (£300, $310 today)

Phillips took the 8am-2pm and 8pm-2am shifts while Bride took 2am-8am and 2am-8pm shifts.

The duo sent out distress calls (both C.Q.D. and S.O.S. as sos was fairly new) until the wireless room began to fill with water. Phillip stayed even longer than Bride and would eventually pass, making it to overturned Collapsible B but not surviving the night.

Harold Bride was on the boat as it sank, and also made it onto Collapsible B where he would later be rescued.

Onboard the Carpathia, Bride met a good friend of his, Harold Cottam, who was working as the operator aboard The Carpathia.

Together they worked tirelessly to send personal messages of those saved to land.

After being in the hospital for a leg injury after the disaster, Bride returned to England and continued working as a wireless operator. Serving in WWI as a telegraphist on the steamer Mona’s Isle.

Harold was married to Lucy Johnstone Downie in 1919 and had 3 children.

He would rarely speak about the disaster, having been disturbed by it and Jack Phillips's death.

He died on April 29th, 1956 (age 66) in a Hospital in Scotland with his ashes scattered at the fountain in the garden of remembrance next to a chapel.

11:47 A.M., Noordam, relayed from the Caronia, warning of "much ice in lat. 42° 24' to 42° 45' and long. 49° 50' to 50° 20'."

1:42 P.M. Baltic reports ice Latitude 40° 51'N, Longitude 49° 52' W.

The Baltic sent a second message only a few minutes after its first, at 1:54 p.m., passing on a warning from Greek ship Athinai about ice in Latitude 41.51'N, Longitude 49.52'W

1:45 P.M. Amerika reports ice Latitude 41° 27'N, Longitude 50° 8' W.

7:30 P.M. Californian reports ice Latitude 42° 3' N, Longitude 49° 9' W.

9:40 P.M. Mesaba reports ice Latitude 42° N to 41° 25' N, Longitude 49° to 50°30' W.

11:00 P.M. Californian warns of ice but cuts off before she gives location.

Born on April 21st, 1862, and from Haverford, Pennsylvania

Thayer was the Second Vice-President of the Pennsylvania Railroad
-
He was married to Marian Longstreth Morris (played by Ella Noriega) and they had 2 daughters and 2 sons (one of whom, Jack Thayer, accompanied them on the Titanic)

They boarded as first-class passengers with a £110 ticket (£16,000, $19,800 today) and they stayed in Cabin C-68
-
Their son went to investigate when the collision occurred and the family got dressed and went to the deck

There, they lost Jack, and Marian safely boarded lifeboat 4. Mr. Thayer stayed on board with his friends (including Mr Widener played by Matty Palmer) and he died in the disaster.
