Isidor Straus (Rosalie Ida Blun) 

Born February 6th, 1849 in Germany and emigrated with her family to the U.S. in 1850

In 1871 she married Isidor Straus (played by Jack Ducat)

The pair were on the way home from visiting Europe when they boarded Titanic at Southampton along with Isidor’s manservant John Farthing and Ida’s new maid Ellen Bird. 

They occupied cabins C-55-57 and their ticket cost about £221 (£32,000, $40,000 today)

He and Ida both passed in the disaster, famously deciding to stay aboard with each other rather than be separated. 40,000 people gathered for their memorial service held in New York City (including having a eulogy read by Andrew Carnegie).

She famously said “We have lived together for many years. Where you go, I go” and they sat together on a pair of deck chairs
